FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – On Thursday night, April 24, 2025, the Old Dillard Museum was alive with the sound of jazz as it hosted the highly anticipated Intergenerational Jazz Jam. This electrifying event brought together talented young musicians and seasoned veterans, creating a unique atmosphere of collaboration and creativity in the iconic Cannonball Adderley Jazz Room.

The audience was mesmerized as student performers took the stage alongside accomplished jazz musicians, showcasing their skills and passion for music. The synergy between generations was palpable, with each note resonating with the spirit of camaraderie and artistic expression.

Organized by Randy Corinthian, Emmanuel George, and Mari Bell, the event aimed to bridge the gap between generations, fostering mentorship and appreciation for jazz music. The evening was filled with spontaneous performances, heartfelt connections, and a shared love for the art form that has shaped American culture.

“The vibe was electric,” said Randy Corinthian, one of the event organizers. “It was inspiring to see the youth shine alongside our seasoned musicians. This is what jazz is all about—community, collaboration, and creativity.” The Old Dillard Foundation and the Old Dillard Museum take exceptional pride in being a vital hub for cultural enrichment, providing opportunities for artistic expression and education. The Intergenerational Jazz Jam is just one of the many events that highlight both organization’s commitment to preserving and promoting the rich legacy of jazz music.
