James Lee Wallace, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the home of his daughter Jennifer Wallace with family in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was born December 17, 1942 to James Wallace and Ora Carter in Charleston, South Carolina. He was a graduate of Bethune Cookman College in 1961 and was a proud member  of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. He worked for over 40 years as an educator in Broward County Schools.  He also held an entrepreneurial spirit, having owned  apartments, a laundromat, and his own income Tax business, which didn’t conclude until 2025. James Wallace truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasure: chatting with friends and family, snacking, enjoying nature and going on road trips. James Wallace had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way during  his  professional career,  in his community and his family. He is survived by his brother Eddie, former wife Jacquilin  Bradley, daughters Jennifer and Janeen, grandchildren Ora and Muhammed, great granddaughter Amani and numerous nieces, nephews and family friends.
