    The Gantt Report

    By Lucius Gantt

Just like Jesus, every Black media professional has his Judas. Once upon a time, long, long ago, All Blacks in all areas of media seemed to love each other. They hung out together, met together, worked together, and helped each other.

Today, the publishers, the editors, the writers, the advertisers, the printers, the distributors, and the media owners don’t want to have anything to do with each other.

The Gantt Report began in the State of Florida. In 1980, Miami Times publisher Garth Reeves was the first person to get a Gantt Report subscription that cost $50 a year way back then and TGR was only four pages long.

Prior to starting The Gantt Report, I was chosen by Charles Cherry, Levi Henry, and Ike Williams to become President of The Southeast Black Publisher’s Association. I guess my greatest achievement was to negotiate an advertising deal with Publix that included all qualified Black newspapers. The Publix agreement stayed intact for decades until a Black ad consultant advised Publix to reach Blacks digitally and to continue the grocery relations, Black papers needed websites, E-blasts, and other digital or internet tools.

The old days were the good old days! I owe my notoriety to the media professionals who believed in me and took me under their wings.

Today, many of the children and grandchildren that operate media companies suggest that I need to get with the “plan”.

The plan is for Black media companies to make as much money as they can, pay family when they can, and let other media professionals find a business path on their own.

I understand. I can’t complain about the younger media owners. I would tell the new media owners, “Your parents and I did a lot of good work together. If I can help you in any way, let me know.”

I was told by most young publishers, “You were daddy’s friend, you’re not my friend!”

When I was told The Gantt Report has “no value”, it was an insult to me. I was upset but I still sent TGR to any newspaper that wanted it.

At the time of this writing, only two newspapers send me a few hundred dollars for a year’s worth of Black America’s favorite column.

I’m slow to embrace technology but hold on, I’m coming!

Christians that read TGR should know 2 Timothy 4 which says, the time will come and. they shall turn away their ears (and eyes) from the truth.

But God protects his messengers. The truth is an absolute defense.

When my American friends decided TGR has “no value”, TGR readers  and supporters around the world said, “Lucius, we got your back.”

So, I’m going to show everyone how much value The Gantt Report has.

The Gantt Report will be available worldwide on a YouTube Channel and, on every other important social media site, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and the rest.

Publishers who think TGR has value will be able to access the total Gantt Report archives and have unlimited access to any, and all Gantt Reports that have ever been published and printed.

I will also do interviews with so-called leaders in politics, economics, and other areas of importance. I invite all “leaders” who have a progress plan for Black people to step up to the media plate and hit a Black information homerun on the TGR Channel. On some days, TGR supporters will also be able to call in and discuss issues with me live

I’m working on my digital infrastructure right now and hope to be fully operational after the election, and I plan to release my third TGR book at the same time.

Finally, I’m working with my daughter to get a cruise line or a resort to give TGR followers on social media a chance to win a free cruise or resort visit just for following TGR on the internet.

Time will tell who is local and who is worldwide.

The truth will always have value, wherever you are on earth. Thank you, America, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, and other continents and nations for your readership and your support.

Journalism Judas will never stop what can’t be stopped!
