The City of Lauderdale Lakes celebrated a major milestone on Saturday  with the grand unveiling of a brand-new Splash Pad at Vincent Torres Memorial Park. The project, funded by $737,815 in Park Impact Fees approved by the Mayor and Commission, aims to revitalize the park’s northwestern area and foster community cohesion.

The revamped park features a state-of-the-art water splash pad, a spacious pavilion, modern restroom facilities, and newly constructed sidewalks. The enhancements promise to provide enjoyment for residents of all ages, while also encouraging children to engage in physical activity and adopt healthier lifestyles.

The city is enthusiastic about the positive impact these improvements will bring to the neighborhood, transforming the park into a vibrant hub of activity and social interaction. This project aligns with the city’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which prioritizes providing accessible play spaces for local children.

The new Splash Pad at Vincent Torres Memorial Park is a testament to the city’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its parks and recreational facilities. The community is invited to explore and enjoy the new amenities, which promise to become a beloved destination for families and park-goers alike.
