Being a little known, unemployed freelance writer, I compliment you on your story, “S. Florida’s connection to playoffs runs through high school football.” For sure, St. Thomas Aquinas stands atop local programs, having produced far more NFL players than any local schools. The caveat is, as a private school, St. Thomas cherry picks – recruits – players. And those players don’t have to pass state competency tests required of public school student.
