Local Broward County Students Shine at Kappa Foundation Achievement Reception

       POMPANO BEACH, FL — Last Sunday, the Kappa Foundation of Pompano Beach, along with its sponsors, celebrated the academic achievements of local high school students with an achievement reception on June 8 at the Pompano Beach Cultural Arts Center.

The evening began with students taking center stage, showcasing their accomplishments and entertaining the audience. The highlight of the event was the Bright Futures moment, conducted by Florida Lottery District Manager Maggie Pages-Pin. “I am honored to be here today to present each of these five deserving students with a Bright Futures medallion, representing their hard work and dedication on their academic journey,” said Pages-Pin.

The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program, primarily funded by the Florida Lottery, recognizes and rewards academic excellence among Florida high school graduates. This unique program offers various scholarship levels, each with specific eligibility requirements and award amounts. This year, the Kappa Foundation proudly recognized five recipients of the prestigious Bright Futures Scholarship. Their dedication to their studies is an inspiration to all.

The celebratory event concluded with a reception dinner, allowing students, families, representatives, and sponsors to connect and celebrate academic success. Congratulations to all the Kappa Foundation honorees, and especially to the recipients of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship!
