    1. M. Sterling Collins Sr. Businessman/Educator passed away December 7, 2018 at age 99. Beloved father, grandfather and uncle, Mr. Collins’ life exemplified dedication to faith, family and community. Valedictorian of Booker T. Washington HS Class of 37, Morehouse College Class of 41; an advocate for education, healthcare, housing and business opportunities, Mr. Collins was a lifelong resident of Dania. Business owner (retail/grocer, property mgt.) and retiree of Broward County Schools, he taught small business mgt., vocational and adult education. Memorial Services were held at Mt. Zion AME Church (215 NW 5 Ave, Dania FL 33004). Donations to Mt. Zion AME for M. Sterling Collins Scholarship benefit high school graduates pursuing higher education.
