I was flipping through TV channels recently and I saw one of the young Black female hosts, usually on MSNBC, was on Fox News. She was talking about Hispanic voters leaving Harris to support Trump.
I get it that there are Hispanics in all parties. However, Different Spanish-speaking Americans are very different politically. European Spaniards are different from Mexicans and Puerto Ricans are different from Cubans in America, for instance.
I know, I don’t think, there are some Spanish-speaking Americans who were raised from toddlers to believe they would always be better than Black Americans.
Now, that’s not entirely true. There are good and bad people in every race.
European Spaniards know how Blacks really are and could be again if Black Americans had universal access to independent, unadulterated, and truth-telling Black journalists.
You see, there are some Spanish-speaking Americans that found out that Black Africans controlled both Spain and Portugal for about 700 years, from 711 C.E. to 1492 C.E. The Africans built palaces, schools, mosques, hospitals, and many of those buildings still stand today.
The Christians overcame the Muslim Moors, but not the non-violent Christians that you know and worship. The Moors reign in Spain was curtailed by the murderous and ultra-violent Crusaders who were killing Muslims back then just like Palestinians are being killed as you read this column.
Let’s move on to 1521. Hernan Cortez was a Spanish conqueror who is best remembered for conquering the Aztec Empire in 1521 and claiming Mexico on behalf of Spain.
And the reporters you love wonder why a few Spanish-speaking Americans want to support Donald Trump.
There are a lot of MAGA members at the taco stand and the Cuban coffee shop. Cisco might be MAGA, Pancho might be MAGA, Desi might be MAGA and Lucy Ricardo might be MAGA. We don’t know.
The Black journalists that can appear on Fox and MSNBC are the journalists that are comfortable to FOX who is liable for 700 million or more after presenting Trump’s “Big Lie” as a news fact.
I want Black media professionals to get all the business they can but only the independent Black journalists will ever write or say what I do. I wish the younger journalists would invite some of the media trailblazers to some of their conventions.
Anyway, the Hispanics will not be the reason if Kamala Harris fails to defeat Donald Trump.
Kamala took Joe Biden’s and The Democratic Party’s campaign consultants “lock, stock and barrel”.
The Vice President could have added or subtracted campaign staff. Perhaps she did.
However, Democratic political messaging remains bad, late and less effective. The talk about a huge GOTV operation that must be supervised by Casper the Ghost because I haven’t seen it.
Don’t worry about a big Democratic Hispanic turnout. The Democratic base in BLACK!
If consultants insist Black voters have no value, time will tell if Putin or Harris will be President.
