    Mare’s Reproductive Rights v. Women’s

America’s efforts are threatened to not reach its zenith of enlightenment and greater moral compassion towards women’s reproductive rights. Unfortunately, this very threat is Justice’s Alito’s leaked draft opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Regrettably, this threat, led by the conservative Justices of the Supreme Court, flanked by Republicans, and a regiment of Evangelicals, has mobilized to overturn Roe v. Wade. Should this occur, hypothetically, in a case involving a mare’s reproductive rights v. women’s reproductive rights, the female horse would win.

For example, if a rogue stallion raped and impregnated a mare (female horse), it would be illegal. Its owner can immediately order an abortion for the mare once stabilized and properly treated by a veterinarian. It’s likely that the mare’s owner would receive compensation for the inexcusable rape. No owner is forced to care for an unwanted foal. Unfortunately, women, in our society, aren’t afforded the same protection.

Another example of the insane principles inherent in pro-life ideology is that incest isn’t a reason for allowing an abortion. A twelve-year-old girl raped and impregnated by her father would bear the pain and disgrace that the baby’s  father is also the grandfather. Again, a female horse wouldn’t have to experience such suffering.

Also, the raped victim would be the baby’s mother as well as the sister. Her siblings would be her baby’s siblings as well as the uncles or aunts. What about the psychological trauma this family would endure? Don’t forget that the father may spend the rest of his life in prison.

It’s preposterous to imagine that in this Nation, during the 21st Century, its very own Supreme Court would draft an opinion recommending the overturn of Roe v. Wade. Further, none of these justices during their confirmation acknowledged any intentions of overturning Roe v. Wade.

Retrospectively, it’s now obvious that each of them shielded their true intentions by proclaiming that Roe v. Wade is an established precedence.

Amazingly, having gained control of the Court these conservative Justices’ consciousness of precedence

is as laughable as Trump’s belief that he’s still president.

An overturning of Roe v. Wade would constitute another day of infamy in America against women’s reproductive rights!

Supreme Court Justices should ask themselves two simple questions. If in their opinion, is the life of a fetus  more important than that of a mother’s life/inalienable rights and is   democracy more   important than the rule of law.

Their answers would determine if they’re fit to serve as Justices during the 21st Century!

     YOU BE THE JUDGE!
