Maxine Waters says Obama has a scary database with everything on everyone

President Barack Obama has his supporters, who’ve remained somewhat steadfast in backing him. But one major concern that has been coming from the left and the right are a series of civil liberties violations that appear to have occurred since the president came into office.
The Obama White House has not been very transparent through the years, and is accused of violating freedom of the press by spying on members of the Associated Press. President Obama has also been accused of sending the IRS after opposing political groups in order to support his own agenda. Even within the African American community, there are accusations that the Obama Administration would rather squash Black dissent with MSNBC television analysts and chosen figureheads than to confront some of the problems being faced by the Black community.
One damning allegation against the president has come from Congresswoman Maxine Waters.
Speaking on the air with Roland Martin, Waters says that President Obama’s Administration has invaded the privacy of American citizens in ways that would only be imaginable in science fiction novels.
“The President has put in place an organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life,” said Representative Waters. “That’s going to be very, very powerful,” Waters said. “That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it’s never been done before and whoever runs for President on the Democratic ticket has to deal with that. They’re going to go down with that database and the concerns of those people because they can’t get around it. And he’s [President Obama] been very smart. It’s very powerful what he’s leaving in place.”
Maxine Waters is the U.S. Representative for California’s 43rd congressional district, and previously the 35th and 29th districts, serving since 1991. She is a member of the Democratic Party.
