    Meet The Snow

         “Every six minutes a child is kidnapped.” Meezy Numbers is talking about sex trafficking. He explains that he is executive producer, co-writer and one of the stars of Meet the Snows, an independent Black-owned film based on sex trafficking. The film premiers in Fort Lauderdale on Friday September 16th.

    “The film is about a guy who loses his daughter [to a sex trafficking ring] and does whatever it takes to get her back. It’s also about family and perseverance. The film also highlights the problem of sex trafficking which is rampant.”

    When asked if the film is violent, Numbers admits to some violence adding, “But we are the good guys.”

    Ronald Taylor, whose entertainment name as a rapper is Meezy Numbers, grew up in Fort Lauderdale, attending Plantation High School before going off to Morris Brown College in Atlanta. He dove into the entertainment industry through music before turning to acting about ten years ago. He reports having been in eight independent films and movies so far, including Black Panther in which he played a Wakanda tribesman.

    He lists more of his work including a podcast, “G4 Elite Elite Show” which highlights upcoming talent, pop culture, and politicians. He can also be found in series and films currently out on Tubi (a free streaming services featuring movies and television shows) and IMDd (Internet Movie Database) in works such as Chronicles of Passion and Tangled & Twisted. This latest venture, Meet the Snows, has premiered in Atlanta and Daytona before coming to Fort Lauderdale.

    Friday’s Fort Lauderdale premier will be a red-carpet event with photoshoots and adult beverages. Taylor plays Ryan Show, one half of the staring couple, Ryan, and Vanity Snow. Vanity is played by Prieska Outland. They have twenty-four hours to find and rescue their kidnapped daughter.

       “It’s an action-packed drama about the lengths we go to protect our family.”

    The film is directed by Robert Peters. Keidra Ponder and Ronald Taylor combined their writing and conception skills. The movie stars also include Iroko Anyogu, Shawn Polite-Bledsoe and more.

    Meezy, who has plans for another film in November gives credit for his achievements to a supportive family, especially his mother right here in Fort Lauderdale. He wants to share his success with the people who helped support him.

    “I decided to show the world I can act and write the story as well. I am a hometown hero. I want everyone to be proud.”
