Miami, FL – Miami Dolphins players Dan Carpenter, Koa Misi, Josh Samuda, Ryan Tannehill, Brian Tyms and MDWO members hosted 50 children from Greynolds Park Elementary in Miami Dade at Skyward Kites as part of the “Kiting with Kids and Fins” program.

“It was a great time today flying kites,” said Tannehill.  The kids, I think, all had a good time, getting them out of a classroom setting and being able to enjoy some sunshine here in South Florida. If you look around, there’s kites across this whole field. You definitely see a lot of smiles and it definitely makes it all worth it.”

The Dolphins provided each child with their own kite. The students, ranging from second to fifth grade are part of the aftercare program at Greynolds Park Elementary.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to first interact with the Dolphins,” said Greynolds Park Elementary principal Jorge Mazon. “They’re psyched about this. Many students, although we live in South Florida, don’t get this opportunity to fly kites. It’s a wonderful opportunity. I didn’t think they were going to enjoy it as much as they are enjoying it.”
