Mrs. Lena M. King

Mrs. Lena M. King was born August 6, 1919 in Cairo Georgia to the Parents of Cap and Cleo Meredith. Lena married the Late Clifford King after raising two children with Roosevelt Jackson Sr. Lena devoted her time, talents and passion to New Hope Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale, FL for over 60 Years.  Mrs. King admired children and served as Sunday school teacher as well as the children choir ministries.  Lena was known for cooking a full course meal seven days a week along with delicious cakes and pies. She also enjoys reading and crossword puzzles while singing “Amazing Grace”. Mrs. King is cherished by her two children- Myrtis Johnson and Roosevelt Jackson, Jr., along with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and Godchildren.  Mrs. Lena King will Proudly celebrate her (confirmed DOB) 100th Birthday August 6, 2019.
