Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has decided to continue playing the game he loves, completely aware of the inherentĀ risks involved. His rationale: ā I love this gameāĀ and ā there are risks involved in everything we do in life, driving to work for example.ā Once he clears medical and leagueĀ protocols,( heĀ has shown zero symptoms related to concussion ),Ā heĀ is eligibleĀ to return this week at the Hard Rock when the team hosts the Arizona Cardinals, fresh off a MNF game victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. At 2-4 and even with Tuaās return, you wonder if the team is good enough as constructed to compete for a playoff spot.
Food for thought Dolfans: the Dolphins as it relates to assessing , hiring and/or treatment of minority head coaches is suspect at best. Mike Tomlin was rejected as being too young when he applied before landing the Steelers job, Todd Bowles, who served as head coach on an interim basis, was allowed to leave for other opportunities and has subsequently won a Super Bowl as Tampaās Defensive Coordinator and has done a tremendous job as their head coach. Then you consider the Brian Flores saga with the Dolphins and how successful he has been with the Vikings as its defensive coordinator. It just makes you wonder what could have been. Letās hope that a rebuild or starting from scratch wonāt be necessary.
The World Series that i’ve predicted on “2 Minute Warning” ois j here. The New York Yankees, American League Champions, will face the Los Angeles Dodgers. National Leaguea Champions, renewing a rivalry of storied. iconic franchises, The Bronx Bombers are led by home run king and MVP favorite Aaron Judge. Former Marlin Gian Carlo Stanton and perennial all-star Juan Soto. Aaron Boone manages New York. The Dodgers are managed by Dave Roberts and he leads a loaded lineup of great players such as Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman. It should be a tremendous Series..
The 12 team college football playoff couldnāt have come at a more opportune time. There are too many good football teams worthy of consideration, some with 2 losses and just perhaps one with 3. A quick gander at what has transpired thus far: Alabama defeats Georgia, then is upset by the Vanderbilt Commodores and loses a tough road game to Tennessee which lost to Arkansas, which lost at home to LSU. Georgia rebounds with a resounding defeat of #1 Texas. #2 Ohio State loses to Oregon in a competitive road loss,Ā catapulting the Ducks to #1 for now. Notre Dame was upset by Northern Illinois at home while BYU, Army and Navy are undefeated presently. And lest we forget Indiana which pulverized Nebraska last week and will host ESPNās Gameday this weekend. There are also many one loss teams like Kansas State in contention. Itās only going to get more interesting or confusing depending on your perspective. How ābout those Canes? Stay tune!
The Blanche Ely Tigers defeated the Dillard Panthers 31-7 in ā24 ā Soul Bowl.ā
