Parkway Middle School of the Arts is gearing up for the 2022 Florida State Assessment (FSA) Test. The FSA Test is given to measure whether students are making progress in the areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics. To assist in creating the excitement for test week, the Parkway Middle School administration decided to have a pep rally for celebration and preparation. Parkway Middle School was previously selected to participate in the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools Initiative where each student will receive a tablet, which allows students to have data access outside of the classroom.
Parkway has partnered up with Miami’s 99 JAMZ FM Radio Station, DJ Lucky C. Also, amazing pop star entertainer Kent Jones will be performing with the Dillard High School Marching Band featuring the Parkway Middle School Dance Team. Various NFL football players will be in attendance to drop a few words of advice.
The Pep Rally will not just be all fun, music and dancing… NO, there is a schoolwide essay writing contest going on, where there will be a winner in each grade, 6-8. For the past weeks, within their language arts classes, students were given a choice in questions to write about and answer. The WINNERS from each grade level will be announced at the pep rally.

Serving grades 3-8, Parkway hosts the Middle School Magnet Program in the Performing and Visual Arts for Broward County and brings the arts to the fore of education across their campus. FSA Testing begins May 2.
