    It is with profound sadness that I convey the news of the passing of our esteemed 30th Grand Basileus, Brother Dr. Edward J. Braynon Jr. He peacefully entered Omega Chapter today, February 25, 2024, at the age of 96. His departure leaves a void in our hearts, yet his legacy will forever illuminate our path.

    Brother Grand Dr. Edward J. Braynon Jr. was not merely a leader within our fraternity; he embodied the very essence of Omega Psi Phi. His guidance, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to our principles have enriched the lives of countless brothers. His influence will continue to resonate within our brotherhood for generations to come.

    The family of Brother Grand Dr. Edward J. Braynon Jr. is in the process of arranging his homegoing service, which will be conducted by the Sigma Alpha Chapter in Miami, Florida, where he served as an emeritus member. Further details regarding the service will be communicated as soon as they are finalized.

    As we mourn the loss of a great leader and friend, let us find solace in the cherished memories we hold of Brother Braynon. Let us honor his legacy by continuing to uphold the commitments to mankind and traditions of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity he held dear.
