    Plantation Councilmember Denise Horland sworn in as Broward League of Cities’ 2025-2026 President During 68th Annual Dinner

      FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — The Broward League of Cities honored Broward County’s cities during its’ 68th Annual Dinner on June 7, 2025, at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida. During the event, the organization installed Plantation Councilmember Denise Horland as its 2025-2026 President, along with the 2025-2026 Board of Directors.

    President Horland announced her yearlong initiative immediately following the installation ceremony: Leading One Broward.

    “As elected officials, our communities have chosen us to lead, develop strong and thoughtful public policies, make decisions that help our residents, and collaborate in a spirit of respect, trust, and unity,” said President Denise Horland. “My initiative, Leading One Broward, reminds us that leadership is about more than holding office. It’s about working together to strengthen confidence in municipal government and to make the best decisions possible for our residents.”

    The League’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from each of Broward County’s 31 municipalities. The following officers have been appointed to the League’s Executive Committee for the 2025-2026 term:
