It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Ronald C. Parker, former Global Chief of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at PepsiCo, past President & CEO of The Executive Leadership Council (ELC), and a trailblazing leader in corporate DEI and labor relations. Ron was a true champion of equity, tirelessly advocating for inclusive workplaces and fair opportunities across industries.

Last year, we were honored to have Mr. Parker present the DEI Award to Monica Bauer Mengelberg, PepsiCo’s current Global DEI Officer, at the HPRA ¡Bravo! Awards, where he celebrated the transformative impact of DEI leadership.

His presence and wisdom that evening was a testament to his lifelong dedication to building a more just and equitable corporate landscape, connecting communities, and championing unity across industries and cultures.

Beyond his corporate leadership, Ron’s impact extended far beyond the boardroom. As a dedicated advocate for preserving and celebrating Black history, he was deeply involved in supporting the Juneteenth Museum, ensuring that the rich legacy of Black resilience and freedom continues to be honored and recognized.

His leadership at The ELC further solidified his commitment to empowering Black executives and fostering leadership opportunities for underrepresented communities.

We are grateful for his invaluable contributions and will remember him as a visionary who worked to ensure that every voice was heard, valued, and empowered.

Our thoughts are with his wife, Paula, his children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest in power, Ron. Your legacy will continue to inspire us.
