Reverend Kito D. March, Sr. completes first year as pastor of  Mount Nebo and 21st year in ministry

    Submitted by Earlene Horne

According to God’s plan in 2011, Rev. Kito D. March, Sr. started his divine assignment as pastor of the Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church (MNMBC), succeeding Rev. Dr. Moses Monroe, Sr., who served as the church’s pastor for 57 years. Licensed to preach at the age of 16, Rev. March was ordained, and became senior pastor/teacher at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Dothan, Ala., at the age of 19. He served faithfully for three years until God directed him to his next pastorate assignment at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Brundidge, Ala. where he labored in the vine-yard for five years.

In November 2003, he accepted an appointment as Youth Pastor with Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Miami, Fla. Immediately prior to joining the Mount Nebo family, Rev. March served as senior pastor at St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church in Perrine, Fla.

Rev. March married the former LeJeune Monique Blocker on Dec. 17, 1994. To this union two children, Kierra Daunique and Kito, Jr., were born. They have also been blessed to have their niece-daughter, Imani, join their family.

Under the leadership of Rev. March, the Mount Nebo family is worshiping under his vision of “One Church, One Voice”. We invite you to worship with us as we celebrate our pastor and his family at the following services:

Sunday, Oct. 7, 4 p.m. – Pastor Keith Robinson, Church of God Prophecy, Perrine.

Tuesday, Oct. 9, 7 p.m. – Dr. Jimmie Bryant, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Miami.

Wednesday, Oct. 10, 7 p.m. – Pastor G. Wayne Thompson, St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Miami.

Sunday, Oct. 14 at 7:30 a.m. & 11 a.m. – Pastor Clifford Mayes, Macedonia Baptist Church, Toledo, Ohio.

Sunday, Oct. 14 at 4 p.m. – Rev. Dr. Alphonso Jackson, Sr., Second Baptist Church, Richmond Heights.

All services will be held at MNMBC, 2251 Reverend Dr. Moses Monroe, Sr. St. (Northwest 22 Street) in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. For more information, please call the church at (954) 733-3606.
