Scottie Pippen charged with felony assault for knocking out a man trying to get his autograph

    By Your Black World

NBA superstar Scottie Pippen has done a good job of staying out of the media, so he isn’t one you would expect to be in a mess like this.

Pippen has been charged with felony assault in a case related to allegations that he got into a fight with someone trying to get his autograph. The incident took place in Malibu, California and led to TMZ following the NBA legend out of a police station.

The stories kept changing, with initial reports stating that Pippen wasn’t arrested, and later reports saying that he was. Now, Pippen is being accused of punching the man in the face and kicking him repeatedly outside a Nobu restaurant. Actually, the man was allegedly knocked out entirely.

Even worse for Scottie allegedly left the scene of the crime. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, including busted teeth, a swollen mouth and injuries to his back and head.

All of this led to Pippen being charged with a felony. The counts include assault with intent to commit great bodily injury, among other things.

The last time Pippen was in the news, he was suing several news media outlets that reported that he’d gone broke. He says that none of this was true.
