Aaron and his wife, Billye, donated $250k to the school individually. Aaron’s foundation, Chasing The Dream, donated another $104k to the school. The Aarons are long time fundraisers for the United Negro College Fund.

It will be based upon the well-known legacy of the university founder, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune—a legacy expanded after her death by succeeding presidents, Dr. Richard V. Moore and Dr. Oswald Bronson, Sr.
Dr. E. LaBrent Chrite will become the seventh president of Bethune-Cookman University, following a national search. He will take office effective July 1, 2019.
