     Hundreds of protestors gathered outside the Lake County Sheriff s Office on Monday night, Oct. 20 in Painesville, Ohio to protest the county working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to detain and house immigrants who have been apprehended.

   The win makes Freeman the first Black coach to lead a team into the FBS title game, which is set to kick off on Monday, January 20 in Atlanta, Georgia. Freeman, whose father is Black and mother is South Korean, will also be the first coach of Asian descent to compete in the national championship.

     In 2020 alone, we lost 41% of Black businesses between the months of February-April. Many of our brick-and-mortar mainstays didn’t survive the economic shutdown, particularly those who weren’t sufficiently tech-enabled. Many of those mom-and-pop shops or small-to-medium size enterprises (SME) have been subsumed under the new everyday economy. The everyday economy is now almost entirely online, and the central reason we have to tech-enable every Black business at little to no cost.

     “When I got the paper, I literally at one point said, ‘hot damn,’” says Phillip Goff, a behavioral scientist at Yale University who wrote a commentary on the study published in the same issue.  “I was a skeptic about demographic reform previously, and now I am a convert.… Demographics reform in policing actually has the potential to dramatically change behavior.”
