One of the Association’s fundraising events that is dedicated to supporting the needs of people with sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait is its annual walk. The Sickle Cell Walk brings together people with sickle cell along with the parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, relatives, and providers in a network of friendship and support. Funds raised help fuel innovative research, advocacy, and critical educational programs and services. Together, we are creating a world where all people with sickle cell can reach their full potential. SCDABC would like to thank The City Commission of North Lauderdale, the City Manager, and the wonderful staff for sponsoring the Walk 4 Sickle Cell on September 24, 2022, at the beautiful Hampton Pines Park.
