The city of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, recently honored the bravery of Aden Perry, a teenager who tragically lost his life while trying to save someone in the water. To commemorate his selfless act, the city unveiled the first installed Aden Perry lifesaving ring, with nine more locations identified for installation ¹. This initiative is part of a larger mission by Aden’s mom to keep his memory alive and prevent future drowning incidents by campaigning for these lifesaving rings in every city.

The Aden Perry Hero Life Initiative was founded by Aden’s parents, Sarah and Alan Perry, after their son’s tragic death. The initiative aims to educate the community on the importance of Coast Guard-regulated rescue rings and provide them with a lifesaving tool that doesn’t require entering the water .
