Professional golfer Justin Thomas uttered an alleged homophobic slur while playing in the 2021 Sentry Tournament of Champions golf tournament in Hawaii. Thomas is finding out the devil appears in moments of weakness.
In the gospel of Matthew, chapter 4, the devil took a weakened Jesus up on an exceedingly high mountain and shows him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. “All these will I give you if you will fall down and worship me.”
A publicly weakened Justin Thomas had his mountain top experience with the devil when his corporate sponsor Citi threatened to withhold their sponsorship worth millions unless Thomas falls down in worship by giving money to fund LGBTQ causes.
