    The Fort Lauderdale (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will celebrate 50 Years of Excellence at its M.E.T. Gala in the Emerald City Celebration on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. Tickets for this night of glamor and fun are $225 and can be purchased at Eventbrite.

    This will be an evening filled with fine dining, live music/entertainment, and mingling with fellow attendees. Proceeds support our community programs and initiatives. “We are immensely proud to celebrate this remarkable milestone of 50 years,” said Sylvia Sloane Jones, President of The Fort Lauderdale (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. “Over the past half-century, our chapter has tirelessly dedicated itself to uplifting and serving our community.

    This gala is not just a celebration of our legacy but also a testament to the impactful work we have done and will continue to do. We look forward to honoring our past achievements and embracing the future at this evening filled with fine dining, and live music and entertainment.” About The Fort Lauderdale (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated The Links, Incorporated, founded in 1946, is an international, not-for-profit corporation with a membership of over 17,000 professional women of color in 299 chapters across 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom. It stands as one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations, dedicated to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the cultural and economic well-being of African Americans and individuals of African ancestry. The Fort Lauderdale (FL) Chapter of The Links Incorporated, established in 1974, has reached its golden year of service in Broward County in 2024, delivering service across five key facets: Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, and Health and Human Services.
