     Palm Beach County Invests $1 Million in African American Museum and Research Library.

    “This investment reflects our commitment to advancing economic opportunity and cultural understanding across the communities we serve,” said Commissioner Bobby Powell.

    The Palm Beach County Commission has approved a $1 million grant to support the planning and development of the African American Museum and Research Library (AAMRL) at the historic Roosevelt High School site in West Palm Beach. The funding marks a major step toward establishing a permanent home dedicated to preserving, researching, and celebrating African American history throughout the region.

    The investment underscores the County’s commitment to cultural preservation, community investment, and honoring the legacy of African American contribution in Palm Beach County.
