As soon as I turned 18 years old, I quickly registered to vote. For about 50 years, I voted in every election that I could.
In the last six years, I missed voting three times, once because I never received a requested absentee ballot, once because I had surgery one day before election day and my final missed vote was because I didn’t want to vote for local candidates that I had never seen or heard of.
However, I will vote in November 2024. This year’s election may be the last free and fair election in the United States!
I don’t need to be in a hurricane or tornado to see which ways the political winds are blowing.
Donald Trump, the Republican Party nominee for President, has stated often and clearly that he will be a dictator if he is the election winner.
If you don’t know, dictators don’t lose elections, they rig elections, they fix elections and they suppress the votes of voters who are opposed to autocracies and dictatorships.
Politics are complicated. It takes years of political work and study to navigate political waters. Clicking on a TikTok internet post from foreign posters cannot possibly give the talent or skill to you, your family and, your community to understand the tricks and traps of today’s politics.
The candidates for President suggest this year’s election is about differences in governing styles.
It seems to me; one candidate implies he wants to serve you and the other candidate that has a chance to win wants you to serve him.
Well, campaign talk is hard to believe regardless of who is making campaign promises and/or predictions.
Democrats and Republicans both say they are your friends, they are your comforters, they are your supporters, they are your benefactors, they are your protectors, and they are your providers.
But this year is different. One guy wants to be your retribution and your revenge. The same man wants to go after his opponents. He wants to ignore policies and procedures and focus on using the presidency to benefit himself and his parrots, the politicians who support, repeat and admire his lies and unlawful criminal actions.
So, what does the 2024 election mean to you?
Hmmm? Would you want to be a Democrat in the United States or a Democrat in Russia or North Korea? Would you want to be a businessman in New York, L.A., or Atlanta or would you want to sell mullet fish or chitterling dinners in Moscow? Would you want equal rights and justice wherever you are, or would you want to die in a Siberian jail cell in a remote location with no family or friend visitations?
Yes, this could be the last time your votes will be fair and equal. If you don’t vote smarter in 2024, you’ll be voting harder if you try to vote in an election controlled by a dictator.
You can ask yourself why your favorite rappers, athletes, and religious leaders see certain candidates as false idols.
The wicked and deceitful people in politics are speaking to you and about you with a lying tongue! Devilish social media posters with bad intentions are trying to wrongfully influence you. So, fact check everyone that writes about politics and elections, including me.
This election is far more important than you imagine!
