If you remember the days of slavery, you know the Mandingo slaves played a prominent role in slave history.
Slave masters and traders had a love-hate relationship with the Mandingoes they enslaved.
They hated the unruly, rebellious, and confrontational spirit of the Mandingo but they loved the mental and physical strength, the courage, and the warrior soul the Mandingo possessed.
What the slavers loved the most was Mandingo fighting. Slavers loved to see Mandingo slaves fight each other.
When there were property and other disputes between slavers, sometimes physical confrontations were expected to occur.
The slavers would never go to a fight alone. They didn’t seek help from the butler or the maid, they didn’t call for the blacksmith and they certainly didn’t take the cook, the gardener, or any of the other so-called house nigs.
When the slaver’s ass was on the line, he wanted help from the Mandingo!
President Joe Biden and members of the Democratic Party continue to be very concerned about getting high turnouts in the 2024 election from their most loyal voters.
Democrats are more worried about who will win the most seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, in my opinion, than any other race.
Hmmm? If House races are super important, why would Democrats hire and pay millions of dollars to the same consultants who gave them losing advice in 2022?
Democratic consultants blame gerrymandering for Democratic losses. Stop being bamboozled! Gerrymandering is on the ballot every ten years when the census is taken. High-paid Democratic consultants didn’t fight too hard for House seats in 2020 or 2022.
News reports say Democrats will spend at least $186 million in New York and California on media alone, all, or most, spent with white-owned media. Good luck with that scheme.
Perhaps Democrats don’t want to fight for Congressional seats in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and other states. Democrats do not want to fight for votes in so-called enemy territories.
You saw the movie “D’Jango”. In the movie, the slaves hated Black slavers who were more brutal and disrespectful than the white slave traders.
If the Democratic Party spent more money with different advisors, they wouldn’t be so worried about Black voter turnout.
They don’t have to hire All World or any company that I know but Democrats do need to hire Mandingo-like Black consultants.
They need to hire Black consultants that Black voters know and trust. They need to hire Black consultants to turn out Black voters in Southern and other states where Amos and Andy are afraid to go to fight for votes.
The historic Democratic Party employment policy of “any Negro will do” will not work in 2024.
Before we close out today’s column, let me be specific about Democratic campaign problems with influencing and motivating their strongest supporters:
Their timing is wrong. Their GOTV plan is wrong. Their Black media plan is insufficient and their budget for Black and other special voting groups is insufficient.
Democrats need political Mandingoes. I know they don’t like Blacks who are just as clever, or more, than the consultants they pay so much.
The 2024 election will be a political war and who do you to fight with on the Democratic side, D’Jango or Fiddler?
