Years ago, there was a story about a white woman who lived in a trailer park. During an interview, the white woman was asked if she could change lives with Oprah Winfrey would she, do it?
Her reply was, “I would love to have Oprah’s money, but I would never want to be Oprah!”
No matter how much money you have, to most non-Black Americans, Black men and women, theoretically, are offsprings of slaves and ex-slaves.
Some so-called Negro leaders are pushing hard to get federal, state, and local governments to give Black Americans reparations.
The chances, in my opinion, of reparations for the ways Blacks were treated in America are slim to none!
Reparations are nothing new in America. The U.S. Government has paid reparations to many different ethnic groups, but most reparations seem to have gone to whites.
Slave owners got “reparations” when slavery was abolished. Native Americans got some reparations when Indian territories were taken, and some Japanese American citizens got reparations when they were wrongly incarcerated in war times.
In other words, it’s easy to think that others got deserved or undeserved reparations, but Black people didn’t get 40 acres and a mule, and reparations seem like a fleeting illusion to be pursued but will never be obtained.
The American political system is currently influenced by hatred.
Black Americans are not denied because they are undeserving. They are not denied because they are nonproductive. They are not denied because they are inferior.
You, your family, and your neighbors are denied political and economic benefits and opportunities because you are BLACK!
Black history is banned in schools and Black books are banned in classrooms. Black businesses are denied loans by white financial institutions. Black art and Black music are denied and discredited in award programs.
The 2024 election campaigns will be full of hateful messages. Immigrants of color will be hated, and issues, like reparations, voting rights, women’s rights, and criminal justice will be hated.
America’s white allies are scared. They are scared about the possibility of a Donald Trump, whom TGR calls The Russia Babayka, returning to the Presidency.
Major networks are suddenly suggesting a Trump-Putin love affair. But it was a Black columnist who recognized a Soviet asset years ago.
The lesser of two evils; is not nearly as bad for Black people as The Great Political Satan!
Black voters cannot vote to elect every politician in America, but they can vote to keep or get rid of elected officials in their districts and states.
Don’t expect governments to give you anything. What we want and need must be gotten by and for ourselves.
Why has history proved that most Black freedom fighters, truth-tellers, activists, and community leaders have been jailed at some time?
They were jailed by people who hated them at some time or all the time.
Black Americans, love yourself and love your people who will clap back at your haters!
