The Romneys will take it any way that they can

Tagg Romney, the 42-year-old son of Mitt Romney has come under some pretty severe scrutiny over a comment that he made in an interview some two days ago about wanting to slug the President of the United States. The web and nearly every television and radio talk show in America has been all a buzz in regards to Tagg’s slip of the tongue. The question that needed to be asked in the midst of all of the fury is, was the backlash and the hoopla surrounding Tagg’s remarks much to do about nothing, or is there something much more sinister going on that somebody does not want the rest of the world to see?

Tagg Romney is no stranger to the world of controversy, and it would appear that when it comes to business, and business dealings, the apple sure didn’t fall far from the tree. Mitt Romney made an absolute financial killing destroying American jobs by sending them overseas and leveraging profitable companies, and Tagg has chosen to follow in his father’s footsteps.

After Mitt failed to win the Republican nomination for President in 2008, Tagg Romney was clean and clear to invest in Solamere Capital, a company which is a direct subsidiary of Allen Stanford’s Bank and Investment Companies. Stanford’s involvement in an eight billion dollar ponzi scheme earned him a prison sentence of 110 years. Investors of Solamere never recovered their funds and although the SEC (Security Exchange Commission) has never said that Tagg was under investigation, much speculation has been made in regards to his involvement in the scheme, considering the fact that the 10 million dollars that he invested as seed funds, were said to have come from one of his mother’s blind family trust accounts.

Just when everyone thought that voter suppression was going to be the biggest problem in the swing states, information is now being revealed that the Romneys when they invested in Solamere Capital, invested in companies that provide voting machines. These machines will be used in the Nov. 6, 2012 election. According to Lee Fang, “Many of these private equity -owned companies rely on federal and state contracts from HIG Capital’s Hart Intercivic, a voting machine company, to Enviro Foam Technologies, a biological and chemical decontamination firm that does business with the U.S. Military and is owned by Peterson Partners, a private equity firm listed in the Solamere prospectus.” Fang did a detailed analysis of these Romney investments, and we now know that Solamere’s complicated conglomeration of investments now include Hart Intercivic voting machines. The Daily Dolt reported that these particular machines are used in the swing states of Colorado and Ohio, and also in the states of Texas, Oklahoma and Hawaii.

Ohio is considered Ground Zero as far as the road to the White House is concerned, and this connection between the Romney’s and these machines could hand Romney the keys to the Oval Office. Truth Out obtained the following quote, “The Widespread use of electronic voting machines from ES&S, and Diebold software maintained by Triad, allowed Blackwell to electronically flip a 4 percent Kerry lead to a 2 percent Bush victory in the dead of the night of the election. ES&S, Diebold, and Triad were all owned or operated by Republican partisans at the time.

According to Politico News, more than 300,000 votes were shifted after 12:20am on the night of the 2004 election which was virtually impossible. Politico also reported that the whole shift of the votes was engineered by an IT Specialist, who had a lengthy affiliation with the Bush family, by the name of Michael Connell. It should be noted that the Ohio vote tally for the 2004 election was done on servers that were housed in the Old Pioneer Bank building in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and these very servers carried the e-mail for Karl Rove and the National Republican Party. Connell was subpoenaed in the King-Lincoln-Bronzeville Federal Lawsuit which focused on how the 2004 election was decided, and Connell died in a mysterious plane crash shortly thereafter on Dec. 19, 2008.

The attorneys and the plaintiff in the King-Lincoln-Bronzeville Federal Lawsuit are concerned because the state of Ohio is run by Republicans and they say that the machines are easy to hack into, and they are calling for a Department of Justice Investigation now, and not after the election. Princeton University conducted a study on just how easy it is to hack into one of these machines and discard votes and any evidence that there was any tampering, and it has been described as a real eye opener, see it here.
