Three lucky Fort Lauderdale nonprofits – “American Heart Association”, “Urban League of Broward County” and “American Diabetes Association” – are one step closer to winning the multi-year $350,000 Humana Communities Benefit grant from the Humana Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Humana Inc.

Voting has started and will end on Friday, Aug. 21, with the results accounting for 20 percent of the organization’s total score during the final round of judging, which will occur later this month.
