So we must be more careful to follow what we were taught. We must be careful so that we will not be pulled away. Hebrews 2:1 (ERV)

    By Bobby R. Henry, Sr.

Almost nothing surprises me anymore as it pertains to the level of stupidity that some of the leaders and some of the justices of SCOTUS display when the question of equality and race in this country are brought forth for equality.

I’m reminded of a cartoon depiction of what the racist part of America feels towards a Black President, let alone an ordinary Black citizen. Who would ever believe that the president of the United States of America in this day and age, would be depicted as a gorilla, lying dead on the streets shot by a White policeman for signing a Bill to benefit the citizens of this so called great country?

“They’ll have to find someone else to write the next Stimulus Bill,” was the caption above the cartoon of a gorilla lying dead on the sidewalk in a pool of blood with two bullet holes in his chest.

Whether the cartoonist was implying that our president has the thinking capacity of a dumb ape or worse than that, should our first Black president be assassinated or was he using an old racist comparison of Black people to monkeys?

Whatever provokedcartoonist Sean Delonas’ shameful and dimwitted ideal to cast such a horrific shadow upon America; those of his superiors are worse.

That was then and this is now, and it is not cartoonish. It is proven we have the audacity to even contemplate the reelection of a rapist, liar, and grifter

The editorial board of the New York Post is as much to blame as is Delonas himself.

The question remains: who’s to blame for where we are now, and where we are being provoked to go?

How dare they perceive that the American public is so stupid to believe that that cartoon was nothing more than a spoof of an occurrence in Connecticut in which a demented monkey was shot to death?

If we would seriously pay attention and critically examine our current political position, all kinds of bovine excretions would pile up on our plates like a stack of pancakes. And then shoveled as a form of treatment upon disenfranchised  people in America, especially Black, Brown, LBFTQ and the Jewish people.

The Delonas’ cartoon showed two white officers of the law, the shooter  and the one who stood behind him and did nothing. We’ve heard stories of dubious relationship of police with Black people. That relationship leaves a lot to be desired.

Therefore, here we are again America, where obvious conditions confirm a lot of  White leadership who lead America is not willing to recognized with the OTHER Americans worthy to be respected and write us out of history.

I refuse to believe that all of White and a pitiful dismal number of other Americans are selfish, ignorant and fearful to a change of equality, but when people agree with others to persist in the immoral acts of the past, they are just as guilty.

What is so wrong about protecting people as we urgently attempt to embrace our diverse cultures? Are Black people in America the only people made to willingly make people feel comfortable; I guess we have been conditioned-umm?

History has a tendency to repeat itself. If problems go unchecked, they only get worse.

So what’s worse than “making America great again”(MAGA)- the fact that we allow it to happen by not joining our forces to prove trumpism and its infidels wrong.

We are not cowards so why should we live as such?
