Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā We all know that 9 out of 10 people with āaverage intelligenceā know what āBlack Lives Matterā means but many pretend they do not. If you are tired of explaining the BLM to your non-Black friends, co-workers, and to be completely honest a few fellow Black people, try this. As a teacher, I answer them with a series of questions, deductive reasoning, to help them come up with their own conclusion.
If you put 4 men in a line-up, One White, Jewish, Asian, and Black, which one has always mattered the least yesterday and today in the USA? Who is the last hired but first fired? Which one started out working for less than minimum wages, work the hardest, and may never receive a raise? Who is suspected of stealing any time something is missing? Who is sentenced to the most prison time for the smallest non-violent crime?
Over 2,000 years ago, a white-collar tax collector gave up his top pay, license to steal, position to follow a dirt poor, but wise, righteous man. He was stepping out on FAITH even though he did not know what faith was at that time. His education went from pre-kindergarten to a PHD in love and happiness.Ā After that leader of leaders went back home to his Father, Matthew, now a teacher, preacher, and writer wrote a part of the worldās best -selling book about him. In chapter 25 verse 40 (paraphrased) Matthew said, āWhatever you do to the least of these my brother, you do also to meā. In other words, āBlack Lives Matter.ā
