Known in the quiz writing world for concocting whacky original quizzes that drive incredible interest and engagement, the 20-year-old will author Zenger’s “Smarter News Quiz.”
The ‘Smarter News Quiz,’ is a quiz for serious people who like to have a little fun on the side. “I love writing and taking quizzes. It is truly incredible to do this for a living and I am so thrilled to be working with Zenger to write their ‘Smarter News Quiz’,” said Rachel McMahon, Zenger Quizmaster. “The idea is for the user to take the 10-question quiz and show their ‘news chops.’ I’m pulling from current events, key dates, and fun topics. But don’t be fooled, the quiz is tough and only 3% of users have beat it on their first try.” McMahon concluded.
McMahon is best known for her moment in the “social media spotlight,” when Buzzfeed began publishing and promoting more than 600 of her quizzes and her brand went viral. McMahon’s quizzes drove Buzzfeed’s revenue in 2018, gaining her notoriety in the digital media world and led to the publishing of her first book, “What Kind of Quiz Book Are You?”
