    Zion Rest Church of God by Faith Community Prayer Breakfast

    The community of South Florida is cordially invited to attend the annual community prayer breakfast of “Seeking His Face Ministry” of Zion Rest Church of God by Faith, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Rev. Willie C. Smith serves as pastor. The event will be held at the Inverrary Country Club Lauderhill, Fla. at 9 a.m.

    The speaker for this memorable occasion will be Dr. Rev. Roy L. Mathis, a native of Ocala, Fla. He presently serves as the associate minister of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Ocala, Fla.

    The purpose of Seeking His Faith Ministry is to evangelize and win souls for Christ. Rev. Dr. Mathis’ expertise – his calling and vocation – is planting outreach ministries to reach the masses of those whom are unchurched. His philosophy is that of the biblical passage of “Go ye therefore into the entire world, baptizing in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit”.

    He is a noted scholar of academics, a graduate of historical Florida A & M University (FAMU), Tallahassee, Fla., where he and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science; a Master of Arts degree in public administration from Florida State University (FSU), Tallahassee, Fla., the Master of Divinity degree from the Interdenominational Theological Seminary, Atlanta, Ga., and a doctoral degree from FSU.

    His calling is outside of the walls of the physical church where he conducts street minis-try, concerts, feeding the homeless, building and restoring families, empowering citizens on social justice issues, voting, health and economic development. He has recently been employed by Argosy University as an administrator for student recruitment.
