A few days ago, 68-year-old Loretta Griffin became the first African American Memphian to compete in the National Senior Olympics for swimming, coming full circle from her days of doing water aerobics at the Davis YMCA in Whitehaven.
“We have a president who deliberately is trying to divide America and not only do we have to defeat the worst president in the history of our country, we will have to transform this nation and create an economy for all of us and not just the one percent,” he said.
Walter Lee Byrd, at the age of 60 years, is a spiritual leader and longtime resident of Broward County. Mr. Bryd has been a mentor and teacher to many local church groups, children and adults in the art of GOJU Karate. He has studied Martial Arts with Grandmaster Joseph Hess, who is a former World Champion in Kick Boxing and was the head Police instructor with Broward College Police Academy in Davie, Florida since 1975 until his retirement in 2008.

As the only venue of its kind in Florida, the Center will allow technology leaders, industry experts and students to engage and learn about leading cloud platforms and receive industry certifications, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services, Generation and Microsoft.
