FAMU’s Marching 100 performed at this year’s Fort Lauderdale Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade &
Festival.

Edwards engaged in painting tiles as a family/community art project which coincided with the dedication ceremony of the new monument placed at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Montessori Academy.

He would say to the greedy and spineless Republicans Senators. – “somethings are so precious that they are worth dying for; if a man/woman has not found that something, he or she is not fit to live.”  Rev. King’s strongest words will be to U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts. “The constitution gave you and you alone the power to conduct a fair trial.

   Jimmy Heath was a legendary jazz saxophonist who played with jazz giants John Coltrane and Miles Davis. Heath stood 5’3” and was called ‘little bird” for his size and great skill in tribute to the legendary saxophone player Charlie Parker, who was nicknamed “Bird.” Overcoming an addiction to heroin, Heath was a prolific musician for over seven decades and a pioneer of be-bop. He later taught music at Queens College.   

December 21, 2019, Gold Star Production, American Legion Deerfield Beach, Post #287, and a group of volunteers collaboratively held the 16th annual Christmas Toy Giveaway. The celebration has become a tradition of sharing the Love of God and bringing smiles to the faces of children from all over Broward and Dade Counties.
