      She-Said: Don, I’m not a racist “MAGA” Hat-Wearing bigot! I do agree with the voices that are against teaching “The Critical Race Theory”.  It has no place in sculpting young minds! The U.S.A. is the greatest, most powerful country in the world. We arguably have the most successful democratic society in mankind’s history. 

Anywhere in America, November is a time of being thankful for something. It’s a double-header holiday month, with twice as much to be grateful for.

      Approximately 100 Littles and their Bigs casted out their lures in hopes of reeling in something BIG at the recent Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward County’s annual fishing tournament presented by Moss Construction and hosted by Bahia Mar Yachting Center.  The tournament attracted 17 boat captains who volunteered their boats, equipment and time to create special memories for Little Brothers and Little Sisters, who ranged in age from six to 17. The wait is over, Old Town Untapped is back! For real!  November kicks-off the return of the long-running monthly street festival. Join us on the first Friday of every month as downtown Pompano Beach, known as “Old Town”, becomes the epicenter for art, food and music! Each event features live bands, a DJ, craft beer, food trucks, arts & crafts vendors and gallery openings at Bailey Contemporary Arts Center (BaCA). Old Town Untapped is free and open to the public.

     Both Dr. Konin and Monroe agree that the cannabis plant has nutritional and recuperative effects, a position Joline Rivera has much familiarity with. She’s the founder of Kitchen Toke, a print and digital medium that reports on culinary cannabis for health and wellness, and Red Belly Honey, which is infused with CBD made from hemp by honeybees.

     Unfortunately, her academic success is uncommon for most first-generation students. According to a recent EAB study, a consulting group for schools and colleges, 90 percent of low-income first-generation collegiate hopefuls do not graduate on time. Worse yet, they are more than twice as likely to leave school without a degree.
