    (Source HBCU Sports):

The reigning SWAC football champion Florida A&M Rattlers have made a key addition to its offense from within the conference.

Texas Southern 4-star wide receiver Quaydarius Davis has announced he is committing to the Rattlers with two years of eligibility remaining.

Davis played his first collegiate season in 2022 at Jackson State, joining the team after de-committing from the University of Kansas the year before.

He compiled 11 receptions for 57 yards in nine games that year.

As part of the mass exodus at Jackson State, Davis entered the transfer portal and committing to Texas Southern.

The 4-star receiver started the 2023 season on a high note, recording seven receptions for 120 yards and scoring a touchdown against Prairie View A&M.

However, Davis’ year would be limited to just five more games notching 11 receptions for 96 yards in those remaining contests.

Davis comes to a Florida A&M team that has undergone a massive overhaul the most notable being former head coach Willie Simmons transitioning to the University of Duke.

The Rattlers’ offense has arguably seen the most changes with the team’s top two receivers Jah’Marae Sheread and Marcus Riley both entering the NFL Draft.

In addition, FAMU’s third-leading receiver, tight end Kamari Young, and reigning SWAC Offensive Player of the Year quarterback Jeremy Moussa, also declared for the draft.
