*Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders is predicted to bag the most NIL (name, image, likeness) money this year among all NCAA football players.

The son of NFL Hall of Famer and Colorado football coach, Deion Sanders, is projected to make $3.8 million in NIL earnings by year’s end, according to On3 Nil. That’s far more than the next projected highest earner, Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning at $2.9 million.

Playing for the first time under his father at Colorado last week against the TCU Horned Frogs, Shedeur lit up the field completing 37 of his attempted passes for a school-record 510 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. Colorado, 21-point underdogs, stunned the national championship runner-ups 45-42 in dramatic fashion.

Father and son took over a Colorado team that went 1-11 last year and was dead last in the Pac-12 division. The pair came from HBCU Jackson State, where they guided the Tigers to back-to-back SWAC Championships in 2021 and 2022.

Last week’s stellar performance has undoubtedly raised his stock in terms of NIL sponsorship and endorsement deals. Colorado will attempt to go 2-0 today when they host their old rival Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Another game of note on Colorado’s schedule happens September 30, when the Buffaloes will host current Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams and the USC Trojans.
