The Bethune-Cookman University Wildcats were no match for the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs in a 56-12 loss on Oct. 12.

The Bulldogs amassed 701 yards of total offense while the Wildcats had just 181 total offensive yards.

B-CU’s two scores came on a 15-yard run by Cam Ransom and a 91-yard interception return by Johnny Harris.

The Wildcats left early to play the Bulldogs. They were practicing in Orlando at UCF earlier this week in preparation for their next game.

Bethune-Cookman (0-6, 0-2) travels to Itta Beta, Mississippi to face the Mississippi Valley State University Delta Devils (0-6, 0-2) on Saturday, Oct. 19. Kickoff is at 3 p.m. Both teams need a win.

The Wildcats won last year’s meeting 20-7 in Daytona.

B-CU leads the all-time series 7-2 and 2-1 since joining the SWAC in 2021.

Both teams have struggled offensively. The Wildcats average 17 points per game while the Delta Devils average 15.

B-CU is giving up 43 points per contest. MV-SU is giving up 48.
