At a recent Meeting in the City of Pompano Beach Commission chambers, Commissioner Beverly Perkins of District 4 was proud to present gift cards and well wishes to four Broward County Public School Teachers of The Year from her district. The winners were: Connie McGirt of Blanche Ely High School, Larissa McDonald of Charles Drew Elementary,  Veronica Jackson of Markham Elementary,  and TyAnna Stevenson of Sanders Park Elementary. Commissioner Perkins of district 4, all of the City commissioners, The City’s Education Advisory Committee, and members of the community were in attendance as these teachers were recognized for their outstanding work. This acknowledgement came just as the National Teacher Appreciation Week kicked off.
