“SCOTUS’ six conservative justices behaving as mad political scientists created a nuclearized president capable of causing unimaginable deaths, destructions, corruptions, and violations of the U.S. Constitution.” John Johnson II 05/27/26
B Dr. John Johnson II
America repeatedly warns the world about the dangers of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons while ignoring a disturbing contradiction within its own democracy: the steady nuclearization of the American presidency itself. The nation’s Forefathers feared concentrated executive power equally as foreign tyranny because they understood that unchecked authority eventually mutates into authoritarianism.
The Framers intentionally divided power among Congress, the courts, and the presidency to prevent the rise of an American monarch. They feared that war, fear, vengeance, and political hysteria could eventually tempt citizens to surrender democratic restraints in exchange for the illusion of security and cultural dominance.
The Supreme Court’s conservative majority, the Republican-controlled Congress, white nationalists, and millions of MAGA followers appear dangerously willing to tolerate this expansion of presidential power because of their fears regarding Black political advancement. For them preserving systemic racism has become more important than preserving constitutional restraint and holding the president accountable.
But history repeatedly demonstrates that authoritarian power eventually consumes not only opponents, but also loyalists, enablers, and collaborators. Regrettably, they’ve also failed to realize that their racism makes them victims as well! Those who watch and view immigrants as prey will surely one day lose favor and become victims. Are Republicans Congresspersons merely a bunch of spineless, greedy, and corrupt “Carpetbaggers and Scalawags?”
Republican Congresspersons should prove to the American people that their oath to the U.S. Constitution is not for sale. If our soldiers are willing to risk their lives for democracy, Republican Congresspersons should have the courage and integrity to merely risk their position. During the current war with Iran, thirteen soldiers have lost their lives and approximately four hundred suffered serious wounds. Who else must die before Congress exercises their powers to “rein in” the nuclearized president, prohibit the commission of war crimes, and prevent a ground invasion allowing soldiers to resemble kamikaze pilots.
Reflect for a moment, America now resembles the misguided Titanic and Congress behaves as passengers. A president protected by absolute immunity, empowered by weakened institutions, and surrounded by personality worshipers eventually ceases distinguishing between enemies and loyal allies. The same executive authority used today against immigrants, protesters, universities, journalists, and marginalized communities may tomorrow target judges, Congresspersons, and political supporters.
The Supreme Court could someday discover that a president intoxicated by unchecked power no longer respects judicial rulings. A Congress that surrendered its oversight authority may later find itself politically irrelevant when a nuclearized president operates beyond constitutional limits. Even white nationalists and MAGA followers may eventually learn that blind loyalty won’t inevitably protect them.
The terrifying irony is that thousands of Americans now risk becoming both future victims and coconspirators in democracy’s dismantling. They behave in this manner because of racial resentment, demographic fear, and a desire to maintain a hierarchy of power. However, reality has arrived. The nuclearized president’s racists rhetoric, lies, unfulfilled promises, and senseless war do not satisfy hunger or lower affordability.
America, it gets worse. The nuclearized president ignored Congress, struggling workers, and decided to award reparation to the Jan. 6, insurrectionists. Hopefully, Republicans finally realize their nuclearized president has crossed the “Red Line.”
Remember, George Waashington as Commander-In-Chief, did not order reparation for a seditionist. On June 28, 1776, he ordered Thomas Hickey “to be hanged,” before a crowd of 20,000, for mutiny, sedition, and treachery. Hickey crossed the “Red Line.” Today, democracy’s greatest danger may be reparation awarded to insurrectionists, turning them into potential assassins, and the growing acceptance of an unchecked nuclearized presidency at home.
YOU ARE THE JUDGE!
