    Excellence is the Standard

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) began the 2026/27 school year on August 10 with energy, excitement and new opportunities, along with a continued commitment to giving students the tools they need to succeed.

As the school year gets underway, BCPS is building on this momentum by expanding opportunities for students, strengthening school safety, investing in innovative learning and creating pathways that prepare every student for success in college, careers and life. Together, we are advancing excellence across our schools.

The BCPS Approach to Artificial Intelligence

One of the most significant opportunities to shape education today is artificial intelligence (AI). As AI continues to transform how we live, work and learn, BCPS is taking a thoughtful and responsible approach to understanding and implementing this rapidly evolving technology.

That commitment is reflected in the launch of Broward Powered by AI, a new online resource designed to help families, students, employees and the community understand how AI is being implemented across BCPS.

The resource serves as a centralized hub for information about the District’s approach to AI and the steps being taken to integrate the technology responsibly across teaching, learning, operations and student support.

We understand that this new technology can raise questions and concerns. The website Broward Powered by AI (browardschools.ai) allows the District to address those concerns by providing a single, transparent location to find answers, resources and information about why and how BCPS is adopting artificial intelligence.

Families and employees can learn about District-approved AI tools, access guidance and frequently asked questions, submit questions and feedback, and obtain AI-related updates, implementation milestones, community events and timelines.

The resource is available in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole and Portuguese, helping ensure families throughout our diverse community can access this important information.

As AI becomes an increasingly important part of our students’ world our responsibility is to help them understand how to use these tools effectively and ethically. At the same time, we must ensure that families and educators have the information and resources they need to navigate this evolving landscape with confidence.

For BCPS, advancing excellence means more than adopting new technology. It means ensuring that innovation is purposeful, responsible and focused on improving outcomes for students.
