Dinner, dancing and comedy—all before dark— with the NBC Links

    By Tamara Gant

Just in time to “fall back” in South Florida, the North Broward County (FL)  Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is proud to present “Dinner Before Dark” on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017 from 1-5 p.m. at Signature Grand, 6900 State Road 84, in Davie, Fla.

The event will be a fun-filled afternoon of dancing with music provided by Ladies of Soul Band featuring The Old SKOOL Gang, a comedy set by comedian extraordinaire Marvin Dixon and a performance by Wesley Wray, actor from the Academy Award-winning Best Picture, Moonlight! Oh yes, and a scrumptious dinner served before dark one day before we turn the clocks back on Sunday, Nov. 5 until Spring.

“We really need the community’s support because all proceeds go back into the community to benefit our programs, such as Classics Through the Ages, our Women of Color Empowerment Conference, senior citizen wellness programs with our partners UPS, The Miami Dolphins and AARP, tutoring programs at Deerfield Beach Elementary School and many more,” said President JoeAnn Fletcher.

“We also use the funds for scholarships for deserving Broward County high school students,” added Fletcher.

Tickets are $100 per person and are tax deductible if made payable to The Links Foundation or you can decide to pay online at www.northbrowardlinks.org via PayPal. You may send your payment to P.O. Box 9023, Coral Springs, Fla., 33075 before Wednesday, Nov. 1.

All proceeds will support The NBC Links arts, health, scholarships, charitable and educational programs.
