    CORPORATE-ROZ-LEWISCorporate and WBE Advocate Award

    Roz Lewis is president and CEO of Greater Women’s Business Council, which has certified more than 900 women-owned businesses in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. GWBC is a regional partner organization of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.

    Lewis is one of the founding members who spearheaded the growth and development of GWBC, now in its 17th year. As founding chair, she led the board of directors and staff to ensure that the overarching goals bridged the gap between corporate America and women-owned businesses to build sustainable and profitable relationships. During her leadership, GWBC has received Partner of the Year honors and the Applause Award from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, earned commendations from the State of Georgia, and accepted the Legacy of Leadership award from LEADS – The Spelman College of Leadership and Women of Color Conference.

    Formerly a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines Inc., Lewis later gained experience and insight into WBE issues is the carrier’s corporate supplier diversity program manager. In that role, she spent several years advocating for small, minority- and women-owned businesses and ensuring corporate awareness of the supplier diversity business case and strategy.

    In 2014, Lewis was also invited to the White House to participate in sessions regarding small business priorities and the Affordable Care Act. She was welcomed back to the White House as one of only 130 leaders and entrepreneurs participating in the Council on Women and Girls Entrepreneur Conference.
