A Message From The Publisher

I felt like I was trapped in a nightmarish dream when I woke up to the shocking reality that a former president was being indicted for hush money payments to a professional prostitute. Meanwhile, governors in states like Florida, Texas, and Arizona are actively trying to erase Black history from our school curriculums. To add to this surreal scenario, Supreme Court justices are being swayed by millionaires with luxurious gifts, including houses and Winnebagos. In the House of Representatives, a bleach, blonde bad built butch body poorly composed representative had the audacity to insult another’s appearance during an official session.
It’s bewildering to think that while our sitting president is associated with accusations of genocide abroad, citizens right here in our own country are enduring comparable injustices. And as I struggle to comprehend fabricated polls suggesting that Black people support the reelection of Donald Trump, I can’t help but question: Have we drifted so far from our moral and ethical principles after enduring some of the harshest conditions imaginable?
How could we, in our wildest imaginations, ever wish to support the persona and extreme likeness and behaviors of the very individuals and systems that have historically suppressed and oppressed us? How could we align ourselves with those who have caused us to endure such hardships and are trying their very hardest to take us back to that extreme?
And then I woke up.
But this is not a dream. This is our reality. It’s a call to action for us to remain vigilant, informed, and united. We must remember our history, honor our struggles, and continue to fight for justice and equality. Our families have endured and continue to suffer too much for us to forget the principles they fought for and the likeness of those they fought against.
Let’s stay true to our roots and uphold the values that have sustained us through the most challenging times and don’t be fooled by entertainment nor the entertainers.
