   Police unions have written labor contracts that bar law enforcement agencies across the country from immediately interrogating or firing officers after egregious acts of misconduct.

      Korboi and Twyana Balla, an African American entrepreneurial couple from Minneapolis, were devastated when rioters destroyed and burned down their new business, Scores Sports Bar, while protesting the brutal killing of George Floyd. However, within just a few days, more than 37,000 people contributed more than $1 million to help them rebuild the bar.

   The 33311 zip code seems to have been uniquely overburdened in South Florida with a proliferation of toxic sites and industries.  Not two miles away from the Durrs neighborhood, the former Wingate Landfill and Incinerator operated by the City of Fort Lauderdale and Waste Management for 24 years,  (1958-1974,) spewed toxic ash and fumes onto the homes of Black Americans “red lined” into that  neighborhood in the 1950s.

        As protests over policing continue to convulse cities throughout the U.S., one symbol keeps showing up: a Black-and-white American flag with one blue stripe.

     “We anticipate the clinical trials could start within 90 days. The clinical trial itself could take a month. We feel quite optimistic that in the 120-day window, when our clinical material would be ready, we could have a drug that could be safe and effective at treating COVID-19.”

     As the “Ask Dr. Kevin” series enters its fourth year, I want to turn my focus to a rare, but very serious form of heart disease known as ATTR-CM. ATTR-CM is a life-threatening, underdiagnosed disease associated with heart failure, but many people have never heard of it or don’t know what it is. In this article, I’m going to explain more about ATTR-CM, and answer some of the most commonly asked questions in hopes it will help raise awareness of the condition and the misunderstood symptoms that often delay diagnosis.

      In the wake of the police killing of George Floyd, the hip-hop community has rallied behind proposed new legislation to reform American policing.

      Black people are in the throes of two pandemics: the coronavirus and racism. But the disturbing trend of white women trying to police people during the aforementioned public health crises was threatening to become the third pandemic disproportionately affecting Black folks.

      The President has said or done things which resulted in members of his cabinet labeling him as idiot or moron. The LDOCR, Dictionary defines an “idiot,” as a person who says or does stupid things. Using this definition, one could probably construct the following equation for an Idiot: Idiot= (person says + does stupid things)2.
