      Most Democrats and Liberals do not want to be called a racist. They are comfortable calling President Trump and many of his Republicans’ supporters racists.  Most White people do not believe they are racist, but the majority in their neighborhood is White.

      As the plain truth about slavery is revealed, the whitewashed version of American history is being exposed. One such revelation is an August 2019 Vox.com article by P.R. Lockhart, how slavery became America’s first big business. The article introduces a book by historian and author Edward E. Baptist, The Half Has Never Been Told: Slavery and the Making of American Capitalism.               

      It’s amazing how often the news media give big play to an academic report that tells us something Black mothers already knew. Another example of the old wisdom nothing is real until White people discover or acknowledge it. Does that seem harsh? Consider the splashy coverage given to a recent policy statement from the American Academy of Pediatrics entitled The Impact of Racism on Child and Adolescent Health.

     Kennedy is a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is a graduate of Dillard High School. While putting up amazing stats for the Panthers, he was told by Division I scouts he did not pass the “eye test”. This would not be the first taste of adversity that Rico would face. After graduating and beating the odds, Rico attended West Point for a year before taking a year off from football as a whole.
